Welcome!

Hello! I would like to start by introducing myself. My name is Ivette Delilah Llanos, I am a NY/NJ based aspiring stylist. I decided to create this blog to show how I am developing in following my dreams. This will include hunting for "get it for less" fashions, covering red carpet events, some styling tips and trends and even throwing in some of my own personal favorite looks and styles. For me, this blog will be a journal of my work, to see it evolve. I hope it inspires some of you to follow your dreams and hopes in fashion. To never give up and understand that patience is a virtue and that you have to go after what you love with all you've got! There's no other way to life.

I always had a "niche" for the fashion world, but it wasn't until I was 10 years old that I knew I wanted to be a Fashion Designer. My father was once a tailor, my mother was once a seamstress and there were so many other family members that were so involved in this industry that it isn't hard to believe that fashion runs through my veins. My mother even made some of my own clothes when I was younger! Styling always came very naturally to me. My mother, sisters and friends always came to me when they needed advice on what to wear. My best friend will randomly call me and have me put together outfits for her over the phone in 5 minutes still to this day. For me, styling is my therapy and it's certainly also my passion. Without it, I wouldn't know how to identify myself. In my life, a runway show is like drugs to an addict.

It's been a long journey; many sleepless nights of sewing at the Fashion Institute of Technology (in NYC), making jackets, draping, pattern making and portfolio classes... but I have a long way to go. That's why I'd like to take you all with me for the ride. I don't bite! So, please feel free to leave comments or questions, as I would love to hear from my readers! So let's get started!

"Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” - Coco Chanel
